In 2016, we started Replit with a simple but radical belief that anyone should be able to build an app without ever learning to code. Our vision was for software to expand human imagination. Instead of requiring people to master software as it existed, we believed software could evolve to meet people where they are, translating their imagination into reality.

At the time, this idea felt almost impossible. Software development was for engineers, not students, teachers, designers, or small business owners. The tools were complex, required specialized training, and thus inaccessible to most of the world. The terms vibe coding and AI agents were still nearly a decade away.

Fundamentally, we believe the future of technology is deeply human. As software adapts to people, billions will be able to turn their ideas into reality without needing to understand or be restricted by the machinery underneath. AI will unlock human creativity, kicking open a world where far more people can build, experiment, and create than ever before.

This vision is fast becoming reality – and we are about to accelerate faster than ever. Replit has raised $400 million, valuing the company at $9 billion, a 3x increase in just six months, reflecting the strength of our business and growth still to come.

From the beginning, our goal wasn’t just to serve a certain group of users, it was to unlock creativity across every profession, side hustle, and walk of life. That’s why it’s fitting that this journey is backed by a similarly diverse group.

Investors include Georgian, G Squared, Prysm Capital, 1789 Capital, YC, Coatue, a16z, Craft Ventures, and Qatar Investment Authority (QIA), among others. The round also included strategic investments from Accenture Ventures, Databricks Ventures, Okta Ventures, and Tether, as well as some of the most creative individuals on the planet like Shaquille O’Neal and Jared Leto.

“Replit is rapidly expanding who gets to build in the AI era,” said Ali Ghodsi, co-founder and CEO of Databricks. “By integrating with Lakebase and Databricks Apps, we’re combining Replit’s capabilities with trusted enterprise data and governance, helping teams move from idea to production faster and more securely than ever. We’re excited to support Replit’s next phase of growth.”

We have users from 85% of the Fortune 500 building with Replit and we are on track to hit $1 billion in run-rate revenue by the end of 2026.

The new funding will be used to fuel our continued global expansion, particularly in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, as well as future product development and infrastructure capacity.

Unlocking creativity at work, school, and home

It’s incredible to see what our over 50 million users are building with Replit. Kids are building apps for school projects and designing their own video games. Employees are spinning up tools for work, from legal assistants to sales leaderboards. People are building recipe generators, thrift store finders, and everything in between.

The CMO of the Minnesota Vikings uses Replit to prototype partnership ideas and save staff time on game days. And Shaq, our new investor, even built his own sports trivia app.

Inside the enterprise, where security is paramount, the impact is even more pronounced with companies like Atlassian, LabCorp, PayPal, Zillow, Talkdesk, and Adobe among others building apps.

UKG, a global human capital management platform with over 16,000 employees, uses Replit across its organization for rapid prototyping, product development, and the building of internal tools. With Replit, UKG embedded its Design Language System into a reusable prototype framework that allows product and UX teams to develop functional, AI-enabled prototypes in days — not weeks. That acceleration has given the organization a 400% increase in its ability to gather product-led, customer-driven feedback before engineering investment.

For Replit to create value in these real-world environments, we need to work where people already operate. That means connecting seamlessly with the systems, service providers, and vendors that are the backbone of modern enterprises.

That’s why we’ve built a broad ecosystem of partners with companies like Google, Microsoft, Slack, Stripe, and Databricks. These partnerships are what take Replit from a place to prototype ideas to a platform where software can be deployed to support real teams, power real workflows, and serve real customers at scale.

We’re excited to have recently launched two new partnerships in India, our second-largest market. Our integration with Razorpay allows users to embed payments directly into the apps they build on Replit. Our partnership with Hexaware helps enterprises deploy those apps securely within their existing IT systems and workflows. They add to the efforts we already have with Humain in the Middle East.

Introducing Agent 4 — 10x faster than Agent 3 to unleash your creativity

Just six months ago, we launched Agent 3 with a bet on autonomy. It could run for hours independently, self-testing, and fixing issues as they arose. At the time, it was the most autonomous vibe-coding agent available.

Today, we are excited to announce Agent 4, our most powerful agent yet, designed to put human creativity back at the center of the building process. Agent 4, which was built using Agent 3, comprises a set of interconnected innovations to keep you fully in the creative flow while the Agent handles the tedious but necessary work in the background never interrupting or limiting your imagination.

Agent 4 is 10x faster than Agent 3 and is organized around four core pillars:

  • Design freely: Explore and refine your ideas on a fluid canvas in real time.
  • Ship anything: Produce apps, slides, videos, and tools inside one unified project.
  • Build together: Structured task management keeps teams focused on vision while Agent handles execution.
  • Move faster: Multiple Agents work in parallel, building and iterating simultaneously.

Just Getting Started

With the new funding and the launch of Agent 4, I’ve never been more energized about the momentum and rate of change happening at Replit. Humans and agents working together will create a future where anyone anywhere can turn an idea into something real – when you expand who gets to build, you expand what gets built.

We’re still early in this new human-AI era with so much further to go!
